Jekyll
I decided to migrate to Jekyll, and the reason is purely cosmetic: I found this great theme by riggraz that I really loved. That’s it!
When I tried to use Jekyll for the first time a few years ago, the learning curve was way too steep, and there were certain elements of static sites generators that I didn’t understand: the quick start instructions worked and were dead simple, but anything further than that wasn’t documented in a very user friendly way (unless you are a programmer).
Anyway, using Hugo, combined with a better understanding of the concept of these engines, helped.
Hugo is still my go-to choice for quickly setting up websites, and I still have so much to learn about it! For this garden, however, I will be experimenting with Jekyll.
